Apply for the Latest Utrecht Excellence Scholarships for International Students

Brief description:
The Utrecht Excellence Scholarship offers a number of outstanding prospective students the opportunity to pursue a Master’s degree in a selected number of fields at Utrecht University.

Scholarship value/inclusions/duration:
The Utrecht Excellence scholarship can be awarded as tuition fees OR tuition fees plus 11.000 euro living expenses. As the grant is not automatically a full scholarship, it may be necessary to find additional funding to be able to finance your studies and stay completely.
The scholarship is awarded for the duration of the degree programme, which is one or two years, depending on the degree programme. The scholarship will only be renewed for the second year if the student is making satisfactory progress towards the degree.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for an Utrecht Excellence Scholarship, you must:
  • •  Belong to the top 10% of your graduating class
  • •  Hold a non-EU/EEA passport and not be eligible for support under the Dutch system of study grants and loans
  • •  Have completed your secondary school and/or Bachelor degree outside the Netherlands
  • •  Have applied for an eligible international master’s programme with a start date of 1 September 2019.
Application instructions:
Your application for a scholarship will only be processed if you have submitted an application for a Master’s programme as well.   After submitting an application for the Master’s programme, non-EU/EEA students will have the option to submit an application for an Utrecht Excellence Scholarship.
Prospective students who wish to be considered for the scholarship must apply before 1 February. Please note that in some cases you may need to apply before 1 December; check the ‘When to apply’ section under Admission and application of your master’s programme.

Global Citizen Scholarship from MPOWER


MPOWER has a mission is to support international students and their career aspirations. The scholarships are just one of the many ways they fulfill their mission.

Eligibility

The Global Citizen Scholarship is open to students who meet the following requirements:
– The student must have been accepted to a full-time program at a U.S. college or university or must be currently enrolled full-time in a U.S.-based college / university that is an MPOWER Partner University
– The student must be either an international student (a non-U.S. citizen) on F1 visa status, a Green Card holder (permanent resident), or a DACA recipient
– The student must be 18 years or older

Benefits
MPOWER is offering four (4) scholarships in total, two (2) recipients will be chosen in April 2019 and two (2) will be chosen in October 2019. Each scholarship is valued at $5,000.

Application

All eligible students, regardless if you are a current MPOWER borrower or not, must complete an application form to enter the scholarship contest.
The application deadlines are April 15 and October 15 annually. Applications from one period do not roll over to the next. Students may enter twice; once before the April 15 deadline and once before the October 15 deadline.
